I've been researching a wide range of issues affecting Wasaga Beach, and I'm sharing what I learn on my blog at Aldona4WB.ca

I believe residents deserve more than slogans and promises. They deserve facts, figures, research, and honest conversations about the decisions that affect their lives and their tax dollars.

I'll tell you what I support, what I don't support, and why. I'll share the information behind my positions, acknowledge where questions remain unanswered, and listen to what you have to say.

At heart, I'm a research geek, an organizer, and an avid reader. My more than 30 years of legal experience have taken me from working as a legal secretary to the administrative side of an international law firm, managing a document processing centre, and taking on the responsibilities of caring for aging relatives.

These experiences have taught me the value of preparation, organization, careful examination of details, and getting the facts before making decisions. They've also given me a practical understanding of responsibility, service, and the importance of treating people with respect.

I believe all of this has led me to this moment: the opportunity to put my experience, skills, curiosity, and commitment to work for our community.

I don't belong to a slate or a team. My commitment is to the residents of Wasaga Beach.

You and I will agree on some issues. On others, we'll disagree. That's perfectly fine. I don't expect every resident to share my opinions, and I don't expect you to agree with me simply because I'm a candidate.

Democracy is messy. It involves different perspectives, difficult questions, competing priorities, and sometimes uncomfortable conversations. But that is also what makes it effective. When we listen to one another, examine the evidence, challenge assumptions, and remain willing to reconsider our positions, we give ourselves a better chance of making thoughtful decisions.

I'm not asking you to take my word for anything. I'm asking you to look at the information, ask questions, challenge my thinking, and hold me accountable.

My goal is simple: to represent the people of Wasaga Beach, make informed decisions, and work toward practical solutions that serve our community.

That's what I believe local government should be about. And that's the commitment I'm making to you.

Thanks for listening!
