I recently sat down with Candid Frank for a 30-minute conversation about Wasaga Beach, my background, the issues that matter to me, and why I'm running for Council.

If you've got 30 minutes this Sunday, take a look.

It will give you a pretty good idea of who I am, what I'm interested in, and how I think.

And then, if you have a question for me, ask away.

WHY I DECIDED TO CREATE A WEBSITE

One of the reasons I decided to create my own campaign website was simple: I wanted a place where I could reach people—and where people could reach me.

I wanted residents to be able to take a look at my platform, my ideas and the issues I care about at their convenience. Not everyone is on Facebook. Not everyone has time to follow a campaign post when it appears in their feed. A website gives people another way to find the information when they have the time and interest.

But there was another reason I wanted to build it myself.

I didn't want to hire someone to do it for me.

I wanted to prove something to myself—and perhaps to others—that we can all learn new things.

I am not a website designer. I had to figure things out, make mistakes, change things, and sometimes stare at the screen and wonder, “Why isn't this working?”

But I kept going.

And honestly, creating this website has been a wonderful experience for me. I've learned things I didn't know I could learn, and I've discovered that sometimes the biggest barrier to trying something new is simply convincing ourselves that we can't do it.

That's something I believe applies to our community, too.

We don't always need to wait for someone else to solve a problem.

Sometimes we can learn.

Sometimes we can try.

Sometimes we can ask for help.

And sometimes we surprise ourselves.

That's part of what I mean when I talk about Simple Solutions.

Positive. Practical. Inclusive. Local. Doable.

If you'd like to have a look, my campaign website is Aldona4WB.ca.

Take a look when you have a few minutes. Explore the platform. Read about the issues that matter to me.

My website has lots of info from ideas about "Simple Solutions", the "Special Council Meeting of September 21st, 2026 re Sunray" and how to engage the community to preserve and grow the "small town vibe".

And if you have a thought, a question or an idea, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks for listening!
